Who are Gumby's Junk?#

Gumby's Junk is an art punk/avant-prog band from Oakland, California. They formed in 2018 with the lineup of Emmalee Johnson-Kao on bass and vocals, Jas Stade on guitar and vocals, and Eli Streich on drums and vocals, which has remained constant to this day. They released their first LP, Apple House, in 2022, and their second LP, Business & Pleasure, in 2025.

Which album to start with?#

Either of the albums are good starting points, though Business & Pleasure is considered by fans to be the better record of the two.

Where to start with the live bootlegs?#

• 2024-07-07 Oakland - an excellent webcast of the band performing almost all of Business & Pleasure a year ahead of release.
• 2025-05-31 San Francisco - a great audience recording of the band performing a few tracks from Business & Pleasure and a few unreleased tracks.
